About Me

My name is William Cox and I am 26 years old at the time of writing this. I currently work for web hosting/services company, which has garnered a significant market share in the past couple of years.

In my spare time I puruse the web in search of web development topics as well as trying to stay on top of the latest web standards. I personally find this stuff facinating. This site is my humble attempt to give light to these topics. Some people see web standards as a waste of time, irrelevant and even pointless. While I may not be able to sway many people, I will say that web standards are very important. If I had attempted building this site back during the mid to late 90’s I would have probably gone insane with all the table nesting I would most likely have carried out. Now the age of CSS is here and making a drastic change in the way people think about web development.

So that is me and a little of what I like to do. Enjoy.

About The Site

If you have not looked already, I am using XHTML/CSS to compose this site. Beneath it there is the ever popular LAMP system. For the better part of the first year of this blog’s life I used a homegrown PHP as the driving force. In light of the fact my time is becoming more and more consumed, I have since switched to using WordPress as the driving engine. This package has everything I have need in a blog software package, and so far it has served me well.

Contact Information

My preferred mode of contact is through email. I am also available on AIM as MyDWilliam. Please do not instant message me to “just chat”. I am not a chatter. I do enjoy talking to people. Its just the endless chatter that annoys me. If you feel that what you have to say is important, then by all means, give me a shout.
