Indeed a sad day it was when I found that Netscape was being dismantled by AOL. Never really used the newer versions of Netscape but rather I use Mozilla, the codebase for the former Netscape. As many people are saying, the major blow here is that there is no longer a major competitor for Internet Explorer. It will be a while until another browser can take Netscape’s place on the battlefield.
